App: Mamorinu (まもりぃぬ)

1. Introduction

Mirai Glow ("we", "us") provides this Privacy Policy ("Policy") concerning the handling of users' personal information in our mobile application "Mamorinu" ("the App").

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information from User Actions

• Camera images: Food images captured by the user. To identify the food and assess its risk, images are sent through the App's dedicated backend (Netlify Functions) to Google's generative AI "Gemini". Sending occurs only after explicit in-app consent. Images are used solely for identification and risk assessment, and are not used for advertising or AI model training.
• Entered / recognized food names: Text obtained via voice recognition or manual input. To assess risk, it is sent through the same dedicated backend to Google's generative AI "Gemini". No other personal information (name, contact, location, etc.) is sent. Not used for advertising or AI model training.
• Voice data: Food names spoken by the user. Processed via the OS speech recognition API (iOS Speech Framework / Android SpeechRecognizer). On Android, voice data may be transmitted to Google servers per OS specifications.
• Pre-registered vet hospital: Vet name, phone number, and address registered by the user in settings. Stored locally on the device.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

• Purchase information: In-app purchase status (from App Store / Google Play)
• Device information: OS type/version, language settings, country code, app version (for service quality improvement)
• Abuse-prevention verification data: Anonymous verification data via Firebase App Check to confirm the app is genuine

3. Purpose of Use

• To identify food items from camera images (using Google's generative AI "Gemini" via the App's dedicated backend)
• To recognize food names from voice input
• To assess the risk of identified/entered foods for dogs (also using Google's generative AI "Gemini")
• To provide one-tap calling to the user's pre-registered vet
• To manage in-app purchases
• To improve app quality, fix bugs, develop new features
• To respond to terms-of-use violations

4. Camera Image & Input Text Handling

• Captured images and entered/recognized food names are sent, for food identification and risk assessment, through the App's dedicated backend (Netlify Functions) to Google's generative AI "Gemini".
• Sending occurs only after explicit in-app consent. If you decline, the AI analysis feature cannot be used (consent can be changed anytime in settings).
• The sent data is used solely for food identification and risk assessment, and is not used for advertising or AI model training.
• We do not store the sent images or text on our servers. They are also erased from device temporary memory after processing; no long-term storage.
• If the user explicitly saves results via "History" or "Favorites" features, those are stored locally on the device. Completely deleted upon app uninstallation.

5. Voice Data Handling

• Voice data is processed via OS-standard speech recognition API.
• iOS: Apple Speech Framework. Often processed on-device.
• Android: OS SpeechRecognizer. Per Android OS specifications, voice data may be transmitted to Google servers temporarily. Google's handling is per Google Privacy Policy.
• We do not store voice data on our servers.

6. Location Data Handling

• The App does not collect or transmit location data.

7. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services. Please review each service's privacy policy.

8. Advertising

The App displays NO advertising. No ad SDKs (such as AdMob) are integrated. No advertising identifiers (IDFA / AAID) are collected.

9. In-App Purchase

• The App offers a one-time purchase (single payment unlocks all features) via App Store and Google Play.
• No subscription (recurring billing).
• Payment information is managed by Apple / Google. We do not collect payment information itself (such as credit card numbers).
• For purchase verification, we use RevenueCat to track purchase events.

10. Data Retention

• Camera images & input text: Sent to Gemini via our dedicated backend for AI analysis. We do not store them on our servers. Erased from device temporary memory after processing (or stored locally if user saves to History, until user deletion or app uninstall)
• Voice data: Discarded after recognition
• Vet hospital info: Stored on device until user deletion
• Purchase history: Retained for purchase management (one-time purchase, retained permanently for restore)
• Firebase App Check verification data: Per Google's policy

11. User Rights (GDPR / CCPA Compliant)

Users have the following rights regarding their personal information:

• Right of access: Request disclosure of personal information we hold
• Right to rectification / erasure: Request correction or deletion of incorrect information
• Right to restrict processing: Request restriction of personal information use
• Right to data portability (EU/EEA users, GDPR)
• Right to object (EU/EEA users, GDPR)
• Right to opt-out of sale (California residents, CCPA — we do not sell personal information)

12. Children's Use

The App is intended for all ages, but users under 18 should obtain parental consent. We do not intentionally collect personal information from children under 13.

13. Important Medical Disclaimer

The App is an information tool, not a diagnostic tool. In an emergency, always consult a veterinarian. The information shown is reference only and cannot replace professional judgment.

14. Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect collected information from unauthorized access, loss, destruction, alteration, and leakage. However, internet transmission cannot be guaranteed completely secure.

15. Policy Changes

We may modify this Policy as needed. Significant changes will be notified within the App or on this website.
